Do you remember telling me that you wanted to be a stand-up comic when you grew up?

I don’t recall ever telling you that but I do remember that I wanted to be one – that or a radio morning-show DJ. I was accepted to UGA on a broadcasting major but never went; moved out of the house at 18 instead. I look back now and see God’s sovereign hand preventing that comedy pathway by utilizing my own laziness and defeatism to keep me from finding “success” in those arenas. I’m so grateful for closed doors that would have been trouble had they opened.

Yeah , me too – never wanted to be married to a stand-up comedian 🙂
I do love my funny preacher husband though !!! 🙂

I’m glad too, Amy. Had he gone on to UGA, he might never have met you. That would have been sad.
