Amy and I are packing up and driving downtown today to see her surgeon. I’ve not updated you on her in a while because it has been a series of successive weeks where there is little more than waiting happening. She’s been a trooper with mostly having to sit around and be patient as her body starts reclaiming its former abilities. Those precious, pretty arms have fully healed but still lack their previous strength after three months of non-use. Her surgical wound is near fully closed and today Dr. Z is to take a whole new set of X-rays so we can see what is occurring on the inside with the bones and the “hardware” that he installed. We are hoping to receive some firm time-frame for beginning the rehab on her leg this week. In those rehab sessions she will learn to stand, balance and eventually walk. They predict a fair amount of physical discomfort during this time period but my lady is committed. She’s over this physical timeout and looks forward to having her freedom back.
We are confidently trusting God for a full recovery and humbly request that you might add your own prayers to ours. I’ll tweet the news once we leave the Dr. this afternoon.
God bless,
Jeff
