Here comes one of the most frantic days of the week. Before it swallows us, here are some things that I hope are on your To-Do list. Ready, set, Go!
Love as God has loved you.
Extend grace to others in the same measure which God has extended it to you.
No bottling up of mercy and compassion today – let them pour forth from you.
Grumpiness is still not a fruit of the Spirit – purpose to reveal kindness to those whom you are convinced have not earned it.
Imitate Jesus whether you are feeling spiritual or not.
Laugh.
Laugh more.
Wait a bit, then continue to laugh at the right things.
Rest yourself – spiritually, mentally, physically. Something in the infinite wisdom of God highlights rest as a very beneficial thing for His people.
Soak up whatever He is doing all around you. If He is not splitting seas or shaking mountains, scout Him out in the little things – this is where He most enjoys revealing Himself. He is not taking the day off from doing what He does.
Tune out the garbage. Nobody else will do this for you. You get to choose what flavors the stew of your thought-life. Garbage will show up on your front porch and ring your doorbell over and over. Ignore it. The garbage is souring too many of us. Just ignore it. Really. Ignore it.
Enjoy what you may today. Wait patiently for whatever is on pause. Show up for today. God has made it available to you.
