It is my privilege to accompany my sweetie-pie to a rather early appointment at her physical rehabilitation provider so I’m going to leave you with a handful of brief thoughts that may serve to sweeten your Monday.
- Don’t allow what you hear or experienced on the mountain Sunday get lost in the valley of duty on Monday.
- Before your day gets too far underway praise God for providing ahead of time everything you need to end today in gratitude and spiritual victory.
- Determine not to give in to the temptation to manipulate things so that they result in an easier load for you. Instead, discover how to make the load of someone else lighter.
- If you have a good friend who is always there for you, call him/her today when you need nothing and offer something to them by word or deed that shows you appreciate them.
- Remember in prayer the sick, lonely, depressed and shamed. If at all possible make a call, a visit or send an email or card to them…today!
- Don’t give in to fear as you live out this day. Uncertainty is all around you these days. Don’t let it get within you. The most oft-repeated command in the Bible is “Fear not!’
- Remember that you who are in Christ are perfectly secure in what Jesus has done on your behalf. Your strengths do not make you more secure, more loved, more worthy. Your weaknesses do not lessen the intensity of God’s commitment to you.
You are His forever!
