Today would be a good day to let our words be few. I awoke with a true sense of needing to be quiet before the Lord today and refrain from the role of a teacher and request instead to have the privilege of interceding. The words of Samuel found me in my sleep and were repeated in my heart as I shuffled around getting ready for the day. Do you remember when that Old Testament pillar said the following?
“Moreover, as for me, far be it from me that I should sin against the LORD by ceasing to pray for you…” – 1 Samuel 12:23 {ESV}
Today I would like to ask you to take a moment and leave an item for me and others to pray for you about. Be careful not to violate anyone’s privacy (first names or initials if you are asking prayer for individuals). If you desire to pray for me, today’s request would be for me to experience a contented, settled heart in nothing beyond my relationship with Christ. I’d really be blessed to know how to pray for you personally so please give me the privilege. Praying for you will accomplish two things today:
- Allow my mind not to rest on me
- Fulfill the scriptural call for us to bear one another’s burdens (Galatians 6:2)
Type your prayer request in the Leave A Reply section below and roll your burden my way.

My heart grieves this morning in many ways Jeff, but reading your blog this morning assures me that God definitely knows all about it. He is speaking through you as always to assure my heart of this through intercession of the saints of God. Thanks Jeff!

I pray for them daily and appreciate you’re including them in todays prayer.
I have prayed as you requested. After I was saved in 1994 i learned of scores of people who had prayed for my redemption for years. What a precious thought that we can be included in God’s process of bringing people to Himself. thank you, Ann.
Did not know of your dad…you and your family are never far from my prayers. Love you, bro.
Please pray for health of my father and wife.
