Most of you know that I have been looking forward to the next few weeks as a combined time of family vacation plus a time of sequestered solitude at the end of my break. The last 11 months have been exhausting but incredibly profitable for the ministry entrusted to me. Many thanks to my wife and children who have given up time with me in order to complete some large ministry projects at Meadow. I also wish to extend my gratitude to the staff, co-leaders and people of Meadow Baptist Church for giving your best during this crunch time for our work together. We have seen God establish some historical moments and changes in how we will engage in Kingdom work from this point forward. I commend you in a job well done and trust we will see much fruit from our intentional labors for His name.
During my time away, please pray for me to reconnect with my family, find physical and mental rest after many months with little to no stoppage and renewed spiritual vigor which I will be seeking in my time of fasting in prayer from June 30-July 4. My hope is that God will meet with us in some undeniable ways in the next twelve months.
I likely will not be posting anything in the blog until after my return the week after July 4th. I am scheduled to be back in Meadow’s pulpit on Sunday morning July 7 and plan to begin a new morning series then. While away, I will likely be posting some nuggets here and there on Twitter and Facebook at the links below. If you aren’t connected to these avenues of additional communication, please link up with me there.

Meadow Family, we have rarely been a business-as-usual congregation but I sense, even more so, that now is the time for each of us to step it up. Mountains to conquer, my friends. Giants to slay. Glory for the King to be won.
Blessings,
Jeff
Pastor Jeff –
You are such a blessing. I don’t know if you’ve read Cordeiro’s book “Leading on Empty” – but I’d recommend it for any busy pastor. Whether you feel like you’re on empty or not, I believe it would be a blessing and build you up – especially during this time of sequester and sabbatical. Let me know if you’ve read it – I’ll drop you one via Amazon if you haven’t.
Praying for you.

Have it on my iPad already, my brother. Read it on last year’s sabbatical and found it just as you described. Thanks for thinking of me and for your kind words.
