What an incredibly profitable time God gave me in Jacksonville while I attended the annual Pastors Conference at First Baptist Church.
Nathan Young and I spent six consecutive days talking, listening, singing, growing and meeting other men in vocational ministry together. God was incredibly gracious to me as I went down to the conference with much on my mind that was beyond my ability to understand. Perhaps in weeks to come I will be enabled to write a bit about it but it would not be clear if I chose to attempt it now. Suffice it to say, God still speaks to His children and I am very thankful to have been on the receiving end of His counsel.
I’m quite excited to get back into the saddle this coming Sunday at Meadow. I’ve only preached once in nearly two weeks and we are beginning a new series that is especially tailored for the Meadow family. The series is called 4:4 Church and will seek to galvanize the individuals who make up Meadow Baptist Church into solidarity of understanding and purpose. God has plans for local churches and underneath the banner of His great commission there is a precise plan for individual assemblies. My goal during this series will be to teach the people about what defines us as a local church, what can no longer define us, what our mission is and what each member must commit to in order for God’s purpose to be fulfilled through us. I’ve set aside the next six Sunday mornings for this purpose and I’m asking our church family to pray in preparing their hearts for our moving forward. I encourage all of you who are not members at Meadow to download the upcoming audio and listen so that you can know how to be a 4:4 saint in the midst of God’s leadership for your life.
Truth be known, I’m excited about this new opportunity for Meadow and am asking God to do some great things during this time.
It’s good to be back in Atlanta and I trust that God’s grace will undergird you, overshadow you, lead you forth and propel you from behind. Be immersed in His grace and enjoy His goodness today.
Blessings,
Jeff
