    Had to do a “screenshot” of the scripture in this post. Amen to God hearing and answering: not always
    when we desire him to however. I had just listened to “I”ll Praise Him In The Storm” by Casting Crowns. Your post was like an addendum to that beautiful song!

    Had there been a “Like” button for this entry, I certainly would have clicked it. I used to think that all my specific (dare I say whiny) prayers probably got tedious to my Savior. But it was when they became tedious to me that I pretty much abandoned giving the Lord a “hit list” of things to do and, instead, began to cry out for grace and mercy. Then something marvelous happened. The Lord’s goodness, which is independent of my whining, came shining through and relieved my fears. I learned that the Lord’s goodness is my reason for prayer, not an egocentric wish list.
