The happiest words for you today are here given through Isaiah:

“You are My servant, I have chosen you and not cast you off”; fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.  Behold, all who are incensed against you shall be put to shame and confounded; those who strive against you shall be as nothing and shall perish.  You shall seek those who contend with you, but you shall not find them; those who war against you shall be as nothing at all.  For I, the Lord your God, hold your right hand; it is I who say to you, “Fear not, I am the One who helps you.” – Isaiah 41:9-13

Fewer words can bring more comfort to the child of God today.  Already, so many of God’s committed children have adorned themselves with armor for today’s battles.  They have two groups of opposition today: those whom they know by name and those of whom they are completely ignorant.  They must leave both groups to their great God who tells them in clear words above that He has them secured for today’s fight.

Do not give either present or past foes an ounce of your mind today.  Do not allow the memory of those who have wronged you to capture your attention.  Today is a meant for God’s glory and Christ’s exaltation.  Today is for walking with a King and singing aloud of the victory we share in Him.  Let the devil himself be frustrated that you are not pausing today to linger over all that has come against you in life.  Let those accusing demons who seek to plunder your praise instead give howls of their own as they see you abiding under the care of your Protector.  God has declared across the ages that it is He, Himself, who is the One helping you – why should you fear?  You might protest that you feel no strength to stand, but He has already pledged you His righteous right hand to uphold you.  Doubts and fears hiss to your mind that you are all alone and that God has moved on to fitter specimens than you; but did you not just read that this great God who cannot lie has promised that He has chosen you, and that He has not cast you off?  Your feelings lie to you every day but your Redeemer never has and never will!

This parent/child relationship with you is extremely personal to God.  He says that He is holding your hand.  Feel His strength.  Welcome the reassurance that accompanies such a strong and tender hand.  This hand of God is powerful enough to crush all your enemies, but that same hand is gentle and stabilizing to you – the one upon whom He has declared His eternal love.  Yes, you are safe.  You are secure.  You are strengthened and you are sent forth.  There’s no need to fret because you have never been alone since He brought you to Himself.  And because you know Him, you can never be alone again.

He is with you today. Enjoy Him.
